iPad Mini 5 Going to be One Mini Monster with High-End Features

Apple introduced its first iPad in 2012 and it’s been quite a while since the last one came out. iPad Mini 4 came out in September 2015, along with iPad Pro. And while fans eagerly wait for iPad Mini 5, we are hoping by the time the device hits the market, technology would have moved forward in leaps and bounds, making iPad Mini 5 a miniature version of high-end Apple computer. By the looks of the rumoured specification, iPad Mini 5 is going to be one monster of a device.

Getting right down to the speculated features of the device, the iPad Mini 5 will be slimmer than its predecessors, since being slim is considered trendy. To recall, Mini 4 was slimmed down pretty radically compared to its predecessors, almost 18% thinner to iPad Mini 3. Some believe that the handset is going to be some 5 mm thick which is going to be pretty revolutionary in the world of tablet. What this is do is made the device very light and therefore easy to carry around. The tab would have a sporty design and will be made of 7000-series Aluminum series, something was used to make the chassis in the previous iPhone models, namely iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Speaking of the display of the device, Apple iPad mini 5 is supposed to be an overhaul from its predecessors. It’ll sport a 4K display resolution which is expected because starting from 2017, a number of flagship devices are set to feature 4K. The tab is rumoured to have Apple A9X processor under the hood, which is an upgrade from it s predecessors that were powered by Apple A8 processor. There is a possibility that mini 5 may have A10 Fusion processor and another rumor suggests that the device actually may run on iOS 10 operating system.
The earlier versions had 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM, but the iPad Mini 5 will most likely sport 4GB RAM couple with two variants of internal memory – 128 GB and 256 GB. As for the CPU, Mini 5 is expected to feature 1.5 GHz tri-core Apple Typhoon, something that is present in the latest iPad Air 3. The latest iPad Mini is expected to come equipped with Octa-core PowerVR GXA6850.
Speaking of the camera, Apple iPad Mini 5 will have an upgrade in this field too. Its immediate predecessor featured an 8 megapixels rear camera while the front camera is of 1.2 megapixels. The new one will have a 12 megapixels rear camera with 2 megapixels front camera. Some of other exciting features the device will include are Bluetooth 5.0 which rolled out lately. Mini 5 is expected to come packed with a mega 4,800 mAh battery. Like the previous device, Mini 5 too will sport fingerprint scanner on its Home button.
As per rumours, the iPad Mini 5 is expected to cost more than its predecessors. The iPad Mini 4, 16GB variant came out with a $399 price tag. With the kind of technology, iPad Mini 5 is expected to roll out, the tablet is expected to cost $499. The 64 GB and 128 GB variant is, unfortunately going to cost higher. All these are, of course, speculation and we’ll have to wait for the devices to launch to find out how powerful the little monster is going to be.
