Mass Effect 4 Confirmed for EA Access Along With Controller Support

Mass Effect 4 also known as Mass Effect: Andromeda is one of the most awaited titles to arrive this year on March 21. Although early this year, fans were hit by a depressing news that says the title isn’t going to be compatible with Nintendo Switch or Xbox Scorpio. But to the relief of several fans, the game can be pre-loaded on March 17, which will help save time while downloading the files on the launch day. Moreover, for a limited time, EA Access and Origin users on PC and Xbox One will be able to play the title early but for a limited time.

Two Reddit users revealed screeshots of their origin accounts revealing the pre-load date and times. Both users reveals that the game can be pre-loaded on March 17, 2017 at 10am PT/1pm ET/ 6pm UK. Anyone who pre-orders the game can play EA titles early using these services for about a week. BioWare hasn’t say as to how long can one access the title but if you ask us, we’d suspect the same timeframe.
Mass Effect Series is an action role-playing video game series and one of the world’s most popular video game series of recent times. Developed by BioWare, the first game in the series was launched in the year 2007 and as soon as the title rolled out, it received widespread critical acclaim especially from video game publication, selling over one and half million copies. Mass Effect 2 came out in the year 2010 and the third one came out on June, 2015. The second installment of the series is hailed as the best one and is widely considered one of the best games of all time. It garnered numerous awards throughout the year. The Mass Effect series, by 2014 has sold some 14 million game units worldwide.
For years, fans have been clamoring about how vast and intriguing the universe of the game is and now, reports are that players will be able to explore the game to a large extent. Unlike the previous installment, this one will have royalty missions that’ll let players explore the Mass Effect if they feel like doing it. Game director Mac Walters explains: “Because they veer off of the critical path, it just allows you to tell very different stories.” This tells us that the Mass Effect 4 will be  focusing more on the characters than the story development, which would be refreshing, to say the least.
Recently, to several of the fans disappointment, it was announced that the title won’t be compatible with Nintendo Switch or Xbox Scorpio. Rolling out this year, the game will be compatible to only Xbox One and PlayStation 4 along with PC. That doesn’t mean that the game will never come to these new consoles. Rumour is that in some time to come, BioWare will bring out another version of the title that’ll be compatible with both Nintendo Switch as well as Xbox Scorpio. Until then, we can only hope that day isn’t too far off.
